`The Old Ferry Inn, Bodinnick, Fowey`
Alexandra E. Layfield c.1950
A watercolour depicting the well known view down past the Old Ferry Inn to the slipway where the ferry comes and goes across to Fowey. I would imagine the people at the waters edge are awaiting an imminent arrival. A well composed and competent painting but at present information on the artist remains elusive. Painted I would think in the late 1940`s or 50`s. Housed in a period antique retro white frame with hessian insert.
